I have been profoundly affected by what I read on that thread. (The site itself is no longer up.)

The joys the lady spoke of are the same joys as people have shared here on this forum. (It is a mistake, sometimes, to believe there is only one source for joy.) And she went through such torment to get it.

And the ultimate price was much too high. I apologize in advance for any toes I might step on here, but I've come to think the bypass surgery is NOT RIGHT FOR ANYONE.

All it does is control your portions. YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR OWN PORTIONS. Without the terrible consequences.
