Well it was suggested to me, not to chew gum if i can do without. Though the gum is sugar free, it contains malitol. They say that is not good for ya, and it can have something to do with stalling. But though I do not chew it all the time anymore, I still have a couple of peices a day.. but I think it may be individual choice. I have no probs when I chew the gum that I do, but I can see it not being all that good if it is being consumed constatly, plus you do need to count each piece as 1 carb.. and eating alot takes carbs away from elsewhere. Just my two cents....just watch and see if it is hindering your weightloss at all, or if it is not.. all up to the individual... hope this helps have a good one
