Zellie, I would get frequent ear infections, and was always stuffy. A doctor prescribed suphedrine when it first came out, and I just kept taking it -- two pills every four hours. If I stopped, I'd get an ear infection. I started working with a doctor on a project, and mentioned this, and she practically ordered me to stop taking it -- it can raise blood pressure. She suggested getting Afrin (a nasal spray). I did. I also got a humidifier for my bedroom, just a cheap thing from the drug store. I'm still stuffy, but (knockwood) haven't had an ear infection. It's been about a year.
