I'll ask the same old question, what's so vital about grains, whole or not?
While the whole grains have a certain amount more vitamins than the refined ones, they are still inferior to vegetables and some fruits. Moreover, all grains carry a high carb load. The fiber in whole grains Is supposed to slow the absorption of carbs but they are stiil there.
Also, I agree with other posters that it's annoying that the low fat mentality hangs on in the face of alll the contrary evidence. Low fat and low carb doesn't give your body anything to run on, aside from the fact that animal fats are necessary nutrition in so many ways. Nyah Levi
