I know I've exercised and no matter how much I did, I still didn't loose any weight, but I did tone up hips during walking. Which I didn't mind at all. I think though, that when excercise is done with the right type of diet, one that's right for your body type, that you will loose weight as it helps burn up some extra calories as well as tone up.
