I think you have to find what works for you. On the main page of this website there is a link to find the best lc program for you. check that out and see what you think.

I have heard that people have a "golden shot" doing lc the first time. But I also hear that many people restart and are successful. It may not be 3-5 pounds a week weight loss, but perhaps 1-2 pounds. I never got a "golden shot" and generally lose just 1-2 a week even though this is the first time I've low carbed.

If you're ready to lose the rest of the weight, the best thing you can do is jump back in! You already know what works (and stalls do happen, even for first timers). So you can get back on track and see how that goes. then you can start tweaking if you aren't seeing the results you want.
