Congratulations on making the commitment to yourself to eat a healthy diet, exercise and make healthy choices in your life. You can only do this for your. Not for your husband or parents. Perhaps telling your folks that you have made this change and that it is a "way of life" not just a quick fix diet, will help them see that you are committed to improve your health the slow and steady way (the same way you put the weight on).
Focus on your short term goals and the long term benefits and remember
Read the book, drink the water, do the exercise, eat on plan (only), and visit here often!
