Thanks everyone for your replies.
I started taking flaxseed oil 2 days ago which has really helped. Also this year for the first time I don't feel the need to make up for the food that I would normally eat during the period that I fast. I agree people do normally tend to over eat during Ramadan and end up putting on weight but here's hoping that the pounds continue to fall off.
