You will lose a lot of excess water weight on Phase 1. This weight fluctuates based on how many carbs you are eating, how dehydrated you are, etc. Women also see weight fluctuations due to their cycles (my wife will drop 3-4 pounds at the end of her period)
Don't worry, follow the plan, exercise with weights, and don't obsess about the scale. Weight loss will slow in Phase 2.
