Definately have them altered. If you go or call a fabric store and ask they can problably give you a name and number of someone who does alterations. This is usually less expensive than a cleaners or tailors. (I did this when my children were young so I could stay home and my price was much less.) The pants can be taken up on the back seam until the pockets get too close together and they can also be altered in the crotch and leg length.
