Default caloric allowance

This is the first week that I have looked at my caloric intake which is how I discovered how high the pork rinds are. I am not restricting it but I am aware that I am aiming for 1850-2300 generally. That's why I said I have to be aware of how much of those i eat. If I eat 800 calories ( or more !!) of them ( which is easy for me to do) then I am either not eating other things like protein and veggies or I am eating all of the above and at some point, too many calories is simply going to impede weight loss.
If I eat alot of them , it is not because I am hungry but rather I'm eating compulsively. I am trying to be aware of my actions and to find other ways of dealing with things rather than mowing through a bag of rinds.
I am enjoying the other effects of this WOL but the weight is the still the reason I am embarking on this WOL.
