Lettuce is VERY low carb.. romaine, for instance, has 1.3total carb per cup, and .95 fiber per cup. That leaves only .35 carb per cup of lettuce(romaine). Looseleaf lettuce has 1.96 total carbs, and 1.06 fiber, making it .90 carbs per cup. Lettuce(i'm assuming the head type) has 1.15 total carb, and .77 fiber, equaling .38 carbs per cup. Raw spinach, my fav, has 1.05 total, and .81 fiber, putting it at .24 carbs per cup... talk about being able to eat! And it's super nutritious.

Trust the package, subtract the fiber. Eat a BIG salad!
