yogert is one of those thing that some of us eat, and some don't.
to answer your question about helping loose weight. it doesn't HELP you loose weight. i think people eat it cause they like how it tastes.
your other question on what brands are okay. it is a taste thing. i HATE the lc brands they have come out with. i use just plain ole plain and add fresh berries and a little splenda. make sure you count it in your daily carb totals. depending on where you are at in your plan (induction, owl, maintence) you may or may not have room for the extra carbs.
i am pretty sure yogurt is considered dairy. and it is not listed in the acceptable food list so if you are on induction is is not "allowed"
