I took Meridia about 5 years ago. I experienced absolutely no benefit from it. I did however have one of the side effects, dry mouth. I stayed on it for 2 months and didn't lose a single pound. Figured it was not worth the money.

IMO Atkins gives you a much better natural suppressed appetite and reduces cravings, so why bother with a weightloss pill that "might" work and "will" cost a ton of money.
