I haven't necessarily set a date mini-goal, but rather a weight mini-goal. My first mini-goal is lose 25 pounds. I am two pounds away from that now. My next mini-goal will be to lose 40 pounds and so on. Then after that will be to get under 200. I guess I make them as I go so I don't get discouraged by looking at the big picture and thinking that I will never lose over 100. I have to keep myself motivated and if I dwell on losing over 100 pounds then 25 doesn't seem like I lost so much, but when I reach the mini-goal it just excites me and keeps me going to reach the next one. Hopefully, before I know it, I will have lost over 100. To each his own. This works for me.
