This sounds more like water retention, it's quite difficult to gain 4 lbs overnight. A couple of pound fluctuation is quite normal though and there are a few factors involved check doreen's article for more details.

It's better not to get obsessed with daily weigh-ins, and do it once a week along with measurements.
