Default I Vary Carbs and it Works for Me

I am a big believer in the "computer" running our body. Whatever you do on a regular basis, be it form of food or exercise, your body will anticipate and make adjustments for. My husband and I both stay between 20 and 30 carbs a day except weekend, where we carb load completely at 2 or 3 meals. And I mean load. All the wrong foods, probably up to 150 carbs a day of intake.

I weigh in every Friday morning, so I have tested my theory every week I've been on Atkins. When we carb load, we average weight loss of 1.5 pounds over the weekend. When we stay strictly on Atkins, we average no loss at all during the same time frame.

Your body will do the same thing with exercise which is why you should vary your weight-training and your form of aerobic activity.

Now, I am NOT recommending this for everyone. All of our bodies are different and their response will vary. But this does work for me and my husband.
