I went to see my dad who had suffered a massive stroke. He was still able to talk and communicate, but it was as though there was no "filter" to his thoughts. He pretty much told me he had never seen me so big. Kept calling me a big girl. I vowed then and there to do something about it.

I was always in denial about my weight until then. I never saw myself as fat, even in pictures. That was my turning point.
