I started at the same time as my husband and son and both of them lost weight a lot faster than I did. Also, most women seem to have monthly fluctuations. I never weigh myself around "that time of the month" because I know I will see a higher weight. I hope your wife can commit to following the plan for a month. That will be a fair trial.
