Hmmm! This is so interesting to me. My mother has severe osteoporosis, and has always been a 'light' eater ... eating little meat. She has always eaten cheese and milk, however. One of the reasons I take HRT is to protect me from the disease - the doctor basically said that it was almost inevitable for me because of her history.

Thanks for posting this, tamarian. I shall try to find out more about this theory. I sure don't want to have to suffer like she has if I don't have to.
