Well that would go a long way in explaining why there is an explosion of obesity. Kids are sucking on fruit juices before they can even eat solid food. Their first food is often pablum (talk about high glycemic). They are given pop to drink and cookies before all their teeth are out. And all the time they in the womb, their concered mothers, encouraged by doctors and nutrionists try to eat a "healthy" low-fat high carb diet.

No wonder we are screwed up.
