Default Why would the shakes cause a stall?

Hello everyone...

I have been reading so many posts by people who say that "the shakes and the bars" cause stalls. Now, I know that the bars have sugar alcohols in them which are absorbed differently by different people and, therefore, may mislead people into thinking they are eating less carbs than they really are. BUT, the shakes, to my knowledge, do not have sugar alcohols in 'em. I am willing to accept the "shakes cause stalls" theory, but was hoping to find someone out there who can tell me why this happens, or if it is more of a rumor. I suppose it is possible that many who drink the shakes also eat the bars (not me, though). In that case, I guess it would be logical to think that both are no-nos. Are there people out there who do fine with the shakes? Hmm...just curious because it seems that I am losing with them. Thanks in advance!
