Default hypoglycemia

Blasting your system with a sudden dose of sugary carbs (such as juice) is harmful .... it makes you feel temporarily "better" from the rapid rise in blood sugar .... but the result will be a corresponding rapid rise of INSULIN in response, which will ultimately drive the blood sugar down again, possibly lower than it was before ... the repeated yo-yo'ing of blood sugar and insulin up and down ultimately leads to insulin resistance ... and a permanent condition of reactive hypoglycemia.

The generally accepted diet for hypoglycemia is low-carb .. even the high-carb gurus agree on this. Avoid ALL sugar, sweet fruits and juices, refined white flour, starches and breads. You must eat smaller meals and snacks more frequently, and ensure that you have some protein with EVERY meal and snack. If you feel a hypoglycemic episode coming on, you must eat some PROTEIN right away. The liver will convert what your body requires to glycogen, without stimulating the release of insulin.

Reading one of your previous posts .... you mentioned dizziness to the point of vomiting. Your doctor may be right about the virus ... and be aware that dizziness with the room spinning, and vomiting are common signs of inner ear infection or inflammation ... and there isn't necessarily pain involved.
