I read recently that when they opened the cages and took the chickens out, they ran back in. They liked their cages. That could be a moral victory of sorts, if true. Or how about "99% of fish in the sea are eaten by other fish." The fish can hardly point a finger at us. The ultimate irony, as Voyajer notes, is that humans needed saturated fat to develop a conscience in the first place. Now its coming back to bite us.
