I wonder where their numbers are coming from - a 1990 survey perhaps? The US industry has already recognized 40% of people eating less bread and other numbers suggest at least 10% of the population is on a low carb diet. Must be 5% in Canada anyway.

You know this reminds me of the Canada Food Guide. In the US they recommend 6-11 servings of grains per day. So what does Canada recommend? - 5 to 12. What brilliance conceived that? It's just bureaucrats spending our money to keep themselves busy.
