Thumbs down Dangers of Splenda and Atkins products

I am writing this article to ask some of the more experienced dieters both in time and culinary expertise.

I have read multiple articles recently that state the two following facts.

1. The Atkins replacement bars, shakes etc. have many more carbs than the packaging indicates and that although the carbs not counted are supposed to be superfluos they most often aren't and will affect dieters on anything but the maintenance stage.

2. The way splenda is created also causes superfluos carbs, from one to two a serving of beverage. . . which can also cause nastiness.

I understand that both the Atkins materials and the Splenda are considered occasional substitutes and should not be used frequently. . .

Why aren't there more effective items. . . My only experience with low-carb items ended disasterously. . .brownies. . .supposed to only have 4 carbs a serving. . . had one serving. . . blew my ketosis without even trying to.

Oh well

Thanks

Mike
