Don't beat yourself up, you did the best you could under the circumstances, adn your mind set WAS on your diet - but that is a lot of pressure as well - I couldn't imagine saying no, if the bride brought it over and sat there waiting....

Now, just start over fresh...and chalk it up to a learning experience - now you will know what to expect and how to cope if the situation comes up again right?...
