I hate to be the bearer of bad news ... but, you are on the right track with the aerobics. Resistance training can be manything, but it's commonly thought of as weight training .. as in lifting weights or using machines in a gym. Don't get discouraged though, because resistance training along with a low carb diet will spare your muscles (keeping your shape) while losing fat. With no resistance training and only diet, you'll lose some muscle mass along with the fat. Thats just the way it happens. I would recommend you keep up the excercise ... hell .. you begin to feel better after you get used to the routine.
