Thumbs up Welcome, and way to go!

Good for you, Rosi! One 'plus' of having to do all that walking, though it may be difficult at first, is the exercise it will give you. Since this way of eating builds muscle, even a little exercise can go a long way, in addition to all its various other health benefits.

As Wa'il pointed out, how quickly you lose can depend on a lot of things. I lose fairly slowly: about 5 pounds in the first two weeks and about 3-4 pounds a month thereafter. However, like you, I was fighting a generally upward trend when I restarted Atkins last October, so I look at it this way: NOT gaining is progress!

As Wa'il says, and I couldn't agree more, it's best to focus on the 'right' way rather than the 'quick' way. Since most of expect low-carbing to be a permanent way of life, there's no particular hurry, and, in fact, the longer it takes, the more time we have to learn and incorporate good habits!

Keep us posted!
