Default Resistance exercises

I have read that when eating LC, the best exercise is resistance training. I also have osteopenia so need to be doing weight-bearing exercises as well.
My question is this: I hate curcuit training, step aerobics, running, etc. The only exercise regime I have been able to stick with is water aerobics. I attend a one hour class twice a week. We do a lot of cardio exercises in a warm water pool (chest deep) and also use stretch bands and water weights.Lots of ab. work, arms and legs.
Would this be considered resistance training? Would love to hear from anyone with info. or anyone who has had luck with this type of exercise.
