I think this relates directly to LC and nutrition in general because it shows how government agencies can and do put a spin on health. The objectivity of scientific studies run by the government is seriously in question. So when the FDA is busy figuring out what new products to approve or what products to discontinue... when the USRDA food pyramid is being revamped, it does bring to mind what influences there may be on what is termed "healthy".
