Default Help please! Measuring spinach...

Hi. We had spinach tonight. I bought it frozen and boy was it good...but realized after I ate it that there seems to be a discrepency in the serving size. The package said serving size was 1 cup and there was 6 servings in the package. My dd measured out a 1 cup serving for me, then split the rest between her and dh (the boys didn't want any-next time they'll have to eat some ) But dh and dd had about the same amount as me and that was a split between 3 people. How can this be when the package says 6-1 cup servings? Did we measure wrong...a cup is a cup....guess this is why weighing is better. So why do they say a cup is a serving instead of an oz guide? I did notice that they're carb count was off...said 2 carbs, 2 fiber, 2 sugar...doesn't add up. What do you consider a serving of spinach? Fitday says a cup is 4.5 carbs so that's fine for me...just wondering what a standard serving is and if we measured wrong.
