You might look into protien power insteadof Atkins. Atkins is a high fat diet. Protien can effect blood sugar, just not near the level as carbs. Atkins is a high fat, adiquet protien diet and most find that higher fat (as 70%) helps them lose. Many do stall on sugar alcohols and other sweets or fake foods though.
