turnips
I'm sure everyone has different tastes for their food textures.
Personnally, I just cut the turnip into small pieces (1") and boil gently (like boiled potatoes). When cooked I add a little butter and some brown sugar twin...and then mash. I'm sure you could use a blender or a hand food processor and that would make it have a smoother texture. Perhaps it's an acquired texture taste?? I guess I don't know any difference as this is the way I've eaten them for years.
