Each to their own I think. I have had moderate success in the past with gum but it's a long drawn out road to quitting. The nicotine wasn't out of my body for 3 months and craving continued all that time.

I have now quit cold turkey (with the help of vitamin and herbal supplements). For me it's so much better. I need to be free of nicotine within 72 hours and now I am. The cravings this time have been so mild compared to the gum and the way I feel now, I feel like I gave up a year ago, not just a few short weeks.

I really think I've done it this time.

I have no problem with those who need gum and patches. I've just discovered now that they are not for me. Cold turkey rules!
