I bought these sugar free salt water taffy candies.
I am unclear about the nutritional count.
The count per piece is listed as:
25 cal, 0 fat, 5.3 carb and Hydrogetnated starch 5.3 g

My question: what is hydrogentated starch?? Can this be deducted from carbs?
If not, then I am throwing out the bag because 5.3 g carb per piece is too high for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
