That's interesting. I wonder if that is the similar (well exactly opposite actually) to children and their huge appetite increase before a big growth spurt. Skinny kids begin to look a little softer and more rounded, eat like little horses for a few weeks then, Bam! Up they sprout before your eyes. Then they slim out again dramatically and the hunger disappears...
