Meat and other protein foods prevent insulin spikes.

Note* The problem with a spike in sugar is the cells are not absorbing the sugar as it should. In turn the insulin will spike to reduce the sugar load. Then sugar will drop quickly. Protein keeps this under control. Pork rinds are a good snack.
