I'm a bit sensitive to this kind of thing, but maybe they overreach a bit on it. The guy is fat, but they really haven't emphasized it so much on the show--which is actually making more fun of the prissy, proper woman than the big, fat guy.

I doubt that they'd have the title they do if not for the Big Fat Greek Wedding movie. It was probably just a way to capitalize on its popularity.
