My Favorite Soup
This recipe is so tasty, so quick, so easy, & so versitile. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Soup Base
1 large can tomatoes
1 can water
cut up vegetables of your choice
1 teaspoon pureed garlic (I buy it in the little jars but you can chop fresh)
2 level tablespoons chili powder
Simmer until veggies are just tender then:
For poultry or fish add:
1 cube chicken broth
cooked chopped chicken, cooked chooped turkey, raw shrimp, or raw white fish
When adding shimp or fish simmer until shrimp are pink (don't over cook) or until fish is white & flakes apart.
For beef add:
1 cube beef broth
cooked ground beef, cooked cubed beef, cooked sliced Italian sausage, or cooked sliced pork
I like to dice mozza or cheddar cheese & put in the bowl then add the soup or top with some sour cream, or cottage cheese.
Sorry I don't have carb counts. It all depends on what ingredients you add.
