Ammonia results from the breakdown of protein .. it contains nitrogen, which gives that certain "tang" Ketones are carbon-based, and have a chemical note, similar to the acetone in nail polish remover .. in fact, acetone is technically a type of ketone body.
In either case, you want to keep them flushed out of your system .. so drink, drink, drink your water. And try to keep the bowels regular too, since they're also excreted that way.
