Question Too few calories? Help!

I just started using Fitday this week, and I've noticed something a bit disturbing. Tuesday I had about 1600 calories, which (I think) is okay, but yesterday I had only 1057, and the day before that I only had 857! Before using Fitday, I assumed I was taking in about 2000 calories per day. I don't recall anything in DANDR that talked about minimum caloric intake. (And I think I've got that book pretty much memorized. )I'm wondering if maybe a lot of days like this has caused me to stall.

Here are my questions:

1. Will this limited number of calories daily cause a stall?

2. How do I know about how many calories I should take in? Or is it not even a big deal?

3. I'm going to start working out this weekend (finally got the videos and equipment I ordered); should I try to eat more?

4. What are some good ways to get extra (healthy) calories into my diet?
