The extremely short period seems designed to give predetermind results. We all know what the body goes through the first week ti switch fuel source from sugar to fat and protein, and the withdrawl symptoms due to carb addiction.
It's like saying "don't quit smoking, as a study of 3 days on people who quit just smoking shows extreme tension and negative reactions! This leads us to conclude that quitting smoking is dangerous to your health!"
