BTW, hoax key phrases....

I would have thought the hoax people would have stopped saying this because it gives it away so quickly.

-the virus destroys (whatever), thus permanently destroying the hard disk.

Real viruses distroy data, not hard drives. There used to be ones that could command the hard drive to park the heads on command, but that doesn't work anymore, don't know why.
Anyone know?

That gives me an idea... have a virus hoax that warns of a virus and attach a real virus (trojan) to it that claims to be the patch or fix to remove the virus.
