I love sliced avocados with just a little salt sprinkled on top -- good side dish for me!

Here's a tip:
If you buy one that's not ripe enough (really hard -- doesn't give at all when you press your finger against the skin), put it into your flour bin (wash and dry first, of course) or a paper bag for a day. It's ready when you press your finger against it and it is a bit soft.
