Hi Luscious,

It's hard to know exactly why your ketostix are reading moderate to dark. What I do know though, is that it's not really that important. In fact IMHO testing for ketones is a waste of time and money.

The stix may be dark simply because you are eating a lot of fat (not too much, just a lot ) or it may well be that you are burning lots of fat.

It doesn't necessarily mean you can eat more carbs though. If you are losing well (as I believe you are ), I'd carry on exactly as you are.

If you go to Low Carb Tips (on the orange bar at the top of the screen) you'll see an excellent article called Ketosis and Ketone Test Strips that will explain more.
