Gee, the poor kid, only 11. But I think the medical community should do much more.
Recently the local news featured an overweight child who developed diabetes at 12, and he's certainly done well, losing a lot of weight and managing his own care. But when they showed him carefully measuring his food for dinner, I saw one cup of mashed potatoes, one cup of corn, and a slab of ham in what looked like honey.
Not the right things to eat.
