I guess it wasn't meant to be. I just came back to post that DH doesn't have his heart in driving back. It takes about 16 hours, and it's a real pain. I don't have any relatives there (except for a sister, and you know all about that), so it would just be visiting his relatives. He was just there in September on a business trip, so it really hasn't been so long since he's seen them all.

So it looks like the trip is probably off.
