Question wondering about goal weights and slow weight loss

Hi,

I've been doing tons of reading on low carbing and noticed that people tend to lose lots of weight relatively quickly, but then when they get down to about 20 or 15 pounds from their goal weight, the weight loss really slows down. I only need to lose about 15 pounds, and have found that I just can't lose weight on Atkins. I'm wondering if low carbing is good for people who need to lose under 20 pounds? Does anyone out there know of any success stories from friends or family who needed to lose under 20 pounds, and successfully lost it (and kept it off) in a low carb way? If so, I'd love to hear how they did it, and if they tweaked the eating plan to suit their own needs.

thanks
