I used to go to bed to keep from eating but that was before low carb woe became a part of my life. Now, I do not believe in NOT eating. I eat a low carb snack at night if I am hungry. It almost always has protein in it such as macadamia nuts ( when they are on special ). Before, If I did eat at night, it would be a bowl of Lays potato chips and a bowl of Oreos. Then I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling awful because my insulin would spike, sending my glucose levels down. When this happens, I must eat more to lower my insulin.
So...with a lc lifestyle, not only do I eat when I am hungry, I eat the right things regardless of the time of day.
